Bethany Place is hiring a Caregiver
*We're excited to offer a new opportunity for those interested in becoming a Med Tech. You can begin working as a caregiver right away, and we'll guide you through the certification process.*
This position involves a wide range of caregiving and community support responsibilities beyond medication assistance. Duties include assisting with medications, ADLs, cueing residents for meals and medications, supporting housekeeping and kitchen teams as needed, assisting with resident smoke breaks, and performing other caregiving and support tasks to ensure resident well-being.
Available Schedules:
- Wednesday through Sunday - 7:00am to 3:30pm
Pay: $22/hour
What You'll Need to Join Us:
- Active HCA or CNA license (or valid NAR grandfathered in) OR willing to start the HCA process with the company
- CPR/First Aid certification (We can assist with this)
- Food Handler's Permit (within 14 days of hire)
- Willingness to complete company-provided training in mental health, dementia, developmental disabilities, and therapeutic options within 60 days
- Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a background check per WA State DSHS requirements
- A professional, motivated attitude and a passion for high-quality care
Your Role: Key Responsibilities
- Dispense scheduled and PRN medications
- Cue residents for meals and medications
- Take and record vital signs
- Provide assistance with ADLs (most residents are highly independent)
- Maintain clean and orderly common areas
- Ensure resident safety and accountability
- Complete light housekeeping and additional tasks as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs regularly.
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver carts, equipment, and furniture.
- Must have adequate hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform cleaning tasks.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures.
