Role Overview

This role is responsible for driving strategic revenue growth for an established aerospace company by identifying new business opportunities, managing a disciplined sales funnel, and building long-term relationships across the aerospace ecosystem. The Sales Manager partners closely with engineering, operations, finance, program management, and executive leadership to deliver technically sound, commercially competitive solutions to OEMs, MROs, agents, and other industry partners.

Success in this role requires comfort navigating complex aerospace sales cycles, translating technical requirements into compelling value propositions, and executing sales activities in alignment with structured product development and program management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with OEMs, MROs, brokers, agents, and strategic partners while collaborating internally with engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
  • Own and manage a structured sales funnel, ensuring accurate forecasting, opportunity qualification, and alignment with revenue targets.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through targeted outreach, industry networking, and market intelligence.
  • Ensure all sales and business development activities align with internal New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and phase-gate program management standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop accurate technical specifications, pricing models, and proposals for both standard and custom aerospace solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations, proposals, and quotations tailored to customer needs and technical requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close agreements that align with company objectives while meeting customer expectations.
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to inform strategy, positioning, and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and provide regular pipeline, forecast, and performance reporting to senior leadership.
  • Represent the aerospace company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events, maximizing brand visibility and relationship development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent aerospace industry experience.
  • Background in aerospace sales supporting either commercial or military programs.
  • Aircraft (or Pilot) avionics sales experience required.
