Position Overview:
SEG Solar is expanding its horizons in the solar industry and seeks a HR Manager to support and enhance our growing HR operations. If you're passionate about supporting people, improving organizational processes, and contributing to a collaborative workplace culture, this opportunity is for you

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the Human Resources (HR) department and develop HR policies, procedures, and standards for employees and managers.
  • Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and processes; educate management and employees on newly implemented HR practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compensation policies; advise leadership on compensation-related issues and conduct compensation analyses to support business decisions.
  • Create and deliver training programs, including new-hire orientation, management education, and supervisor skills development, in various settings (large groups, small groups, and one-on-one).
  • Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to coach, guide, and train on employee relations, policy interpretation, benefits, compensation, job description development, payroll considerations, turnover reduction strategies, and employee engagement.
  • Provide expertise in performance management processes, including performance appraisal training, coaching managers, and advising on corrective actions or improvement plans.
  • Address complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with relevant federal and Texas employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, harassment prevention, etc.).
  • Ensure company practices comply with federal and Texas state regulations; monitor updates to employment laws and advise leadership accordingly.
  • Support talent acquisition strategies by consulting on workforce planning, interview processes, and organizational structure.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends in turnover, workforce needs, employee satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness; present findings to leadership.
  • Serve as a role model within the HR department, providing mentorship, direction, and training to HR team members as appropriate.
  • Independently manage daily responsibilities, prioritize multiple tasks, and oversee HR team performance with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including generalist or managerial-level responsibilities
  • Experience developing HR policies, compensation structures, training programs, and organizational procedures
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, and legal compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to advise leadership and work effectively across functional departments
  • Strong knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop HR team members
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with sound judgment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Mandarin is a plus
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
