ASSISTANT BUYER – JEWELRY

The Assistant Buyer supports the buying team in managing the jewelry assortment, ensuring the right product is selected, ordered, received, and represented in-store. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about jewelry and luxury retail.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Buying Support

• Track vendor performance, sell-through, and category trends; prepare selling reports and recap key findings.
• Maintain up-to-date product information, including pricing, descriptions, SKU data, and vendor details.
• Support preparation for market appointments and vendor meetings.

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels and recommend reorders or stock transfers to support sales.
• Process purchase orders accurately and on time, ensuring all details match vendor confirmations.
• Partner with stores and the vendors to resolve discrepancies, damage issues, or missing items.
• Assist in managing special orders and follow through until completion

Operational & Administrative Support

• Ensure new product is received, tagged, and merchandised according to standards.
• Coordinate trunk shows, events, and product launches, including logistics, inventory, and communication.

Assist Marketing team with various projects, including pulling merchandise for off-site events

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years' experience in retail, merchandising, buying, or related role; luxury or jewelry experience a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Passion for jewelry, design, and luxury retail.
