Position Summary:

The Branch Manager for KCH Transportation's Chattanooga office is responsible for leading all branch operations, sales, and personnel to ensure efficient, profitable, and growth-oriented performance. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can drive revenue, strengthen customer and carrier partnerships, optimize operational processes, and build a high-performing team. The Branch Manager owns the overall success of the branch—ensuring alignment with company goals, delivering exceptional service, and cultivating a culture of accountability and excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency in freight brokerage activities including customer service, carrier relations, and load management.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales and operations professionals to meet and exceed revenue and performance targets.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and carriers, ensuring retention and satisfaction while identifying opportunities for growth.

  • Drive business development efforts by identifying new markets, prospective clients, and opportunities to expand service offerings.

  • Manage the branch's financial performance by monitoring revenue, margins, and profitability, while maintaining cost controls.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for growth and process improvement.

  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing employees within the branch.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 3+ years of logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or branch management role.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams within a 3PL freight brokerage environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM tools, and related logistics technology.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving margins, and optimizing operational performance.
