Position Summary:
The Branch Manager for KCH Transportation's Chattanooga office is responsible for leading all branch operations, sales, and personnel to ensure efficient, profitable, and growth-oriented performance. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can drive revenue, strengthen customer and carrier partnerships, optimize operational processes, and build a high-performing team. The Branch Manager owns the overall success of the branch—ensuring alignment with company goals, delivering exceptional service, and cultivating a culture of accountability and excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency in freight brokerage activities including customer service, carrier relations, and load management.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales and operations professionals to meet and exceed revenue and performance targets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and carriers, ensuring retention and satisfaction while identifying opportunities for growth.
Drive business development efforts by identifying new markets, prospective clients, and opportunities to expand service offerings.
Manage the branch's financial performance by monitoring revenue, margins, and profitability, while maintaining cost controls.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for growth and process improvement.
Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing employees within the branch.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
- 3+ years of logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or branch management role.
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing teams within a 3PL freight brokerage environment.
- Strong proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM tools, and related logistics technology.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving margins, and optimizing operational performance.
