We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Sales / Estimating department as a Project Estimator. In this role, the Estimator is responsible for assessing project costs, thoroughly reviewing designs, and supporting the transition from design to fabrication. This position collaborates closely with vendors and project teams to deliver accurate estimates and develop comprehensive budgets for a variety of projects, spanning all phases of design. Additionally, the Estimator is tasked with preparing competitive and winning bids by carefully analyzing project requirements and current market conditions, ensuring that all proposals align with client needs and increase the likelihood of securing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the estimating team to assess preliminary project concepts and understand requirements.
· Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets using Trimble Auto Bid, ensuring alignment with project timelines, specifications, and fabrication requirements.
· Maintain and organize digital estimate files and documentation for efficient project tracking and reference.
· Analyze project plans by reviewing blueprints, scope-of-work documents, and other project details to determine project needs.
· Calculate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and other necessary resources required for the project.
· Gather quotes by researching prices and obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
· Prepare bids and proposals that compile detailed reports outlining required materials, costs, and project timelines.
· Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and contract managers to ensure accuracy throughout the estimating process.
· Conduct risk assessments by identifying potential risks and factors that could affect project costs and including them in the estimate.
Skills and Qualifications
· Strong analytical skills for thoroughly studying plans and data to identify all relevant costs.
· Mathematical proficiency for precise cost estimation and calculations.
· Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in all estimates.
· Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to management and collaborating with other professionals.
· Industry knowledge, with familiarity in the construction sector being preferred.

Pay: $55, $65,000.00 per year
