Litigation Paralegal

We are a mid-sized law firm seeking a self-motivated Paralegal to provide a wide range of legal services under the supervision of multiple attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Experience in defense litigation, including paralegal/attorney billing experience
• Significant knowledge of court rules regarding the civil discovery process is preferred
• Manage and organize electronic files, review documents, prepare timelines and medical chronologies, conduct research and investigation for case management, prepare trial exhibits and binders, and provide general trial support
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a close attention to detail
• Proficient in computer skills (Windows 10, Microsoft Office applications, etc.)
• Assist attorneys or independently prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs
• Case management, including maintaining document control and calendaring docket deadlines
• Prepare for depositions, including record review and summaries, and prepare attorneys in advance
• Assist with trial preparation, including drafting witness lists and exhibit binders
• Create timelines
• Summarize medical and employment records
• E-file documents with various courts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50, $65,000.00 per year
