We are looking for a friendly, professional, Clinical Research Assistant to join our patient focused team of professionals at our cardiovascular practice .
Position Summary: The clinical Research Assistant will support the clinical trials at Carient Heart & Vascular. The Clinical Research Assistant is trained and certified with ICH/GCP guidelines and the company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Research Assistant will work under the direction of Clinical Research Coordinators, Investigators, Providers, and the research manager to help ensure that studies follow protocols, maintain quality data, and comply with regulatory and ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain GCP/ICH certification and adhere to the guidelines to ensure the highest quality research and confidentiality.
· Familiarity with SOPs, CLIA as well as other standard research and clinical laboratory practices.
· Attends educational meetings as assigned.
· Performs duties as assigned by the Research Manager.
· Works with others on the research team to ensure a smooth operation of the research program.
· Trained on the Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria of the Current Enrolling Studies to approach patients and initiate the conversation about participating in a particular research study.
· Pre-Screen patient records for identification of prospective candidates for research protocols.
· Communicate with Providers for approval to introduce the research study to the potential research participants during their clinic visit or phone calls.
· Communicate with the CRCs verbally and on logs about Pre-Screened patients and outcomes of the discussion.
· Conduct follow up phone calls and reminders to patients about upcoming clinic visit, fasting, and returning IP.
Qualifications:
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in life sciences, health sciences, or related field.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
· Detail oriented, highly organized
· Computer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel
· Phlebotomy Experience Preferred
· Cardiology experience Preferred
**Position will include travel to various Carient office locations
Job Type: Full-time
