CDL Driver

Do you love driving a truck but hate the nights spent away from home? You might flourish in our open position for a local Truck Driver. We're looking for a safe, courteous driver who values a predictable schedule and operates heavy equipment. We maintain our entire fleet with dedicated precision, and we don't employ owner-operators, so we retain control over our vehicles.

Position Summary

The CDL Driver / Equipment & Material Transport role is responsible for safely transporting construction equipment and heavy concrete materials to and from job sites using an 80,000-lb commercial truck with trailer. This role supports field operations through reliable hauling, equipment loading/unloading, yard organization, and vehicle upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial truck (up to 80,000 lbs GVW) with trailer.
• Load and unload construction equipment and materials onto/from truck and trailer
• Transport heavy concrete supplies and equipment to multiple job sites
• Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
• Pull required oversize/overweight hauling permits for in-state and neighboring states as needed
• Coordinate hauling schedules with Project Managers, Operations, and crew leaders
• Organize and maintain yard inventory of equipment and materials
• Perform routine inspections and maintain cleanliness of assigned commercial truck and trailer
• Report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly
• Communicate effectively with field crews and office staff regarding deliveries and logistics
• Maintain accurate records related to hauling, permits, inspections, and deliveries

Qualifications & Requirements

• ValidCDL (Class A) with clean driving record
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience (equipment hauling required)
• Experience loading and unloading construction equipment and materials
• Ability to obtain and managehauling permits for Georgia and neighboring states
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and safety requirements
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Comfortable using email, iPad, and basic digital tools
• Strong communication and time-management skills

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to climb on/off equipment and trailers
• Ability to secure loads using chains, binders, and straps
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Occasional extended hours based on project needs

Pay: $60, $78,000.00 per year
