Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced
Product Owner
to own
Pricing Delivery
initiatives within the
Personal Lines Auto / Safeco Pricing
portfolio. In this role, you will serve as the
voice of the business
, partnering closely with technology and leadership teams to prioritize and deliver pricing capabilities that drive
profitable growth
.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product strategy for
Risk Pricing
, translating business strategy into a clear, prioritized roadmap - Gather and synthesize stakeholder input to define problems, outcomes, KPIs, and success metrics
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog; write clear
user stories and acceptance criteria - Define, track, and own assigned
product KPIs - Collaborate daily with engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders to remove blockers and clarify requirements
- Lead sprint planning, quarterly planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives
- Partner across portfolios to identify reusable capabilities and avoid duplication
- Assess feasibility, cost-of-delay, and business impact to influence prioritization decisions
- Ensure delivery aligns with
regulatory, compliance, and industry requirements - Support user research, customer-driven design, and market analysis
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product Owner / Product Management experience
- Strong experience with
insurance products
, specifically
pricing - Hands-on experience writing
user stories
, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs - Proven ability to drive measurable
product KPIs - Strong working knowledge of
Agile/Scrum ceremonies - Mandatory experience with JIRA
(immediate disqualifier if absent) - Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, and leadership teams
- Experience working in
regulated or compliance-driven environments - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in
financial services or insurance - Experience with
roadmap and requirements tools
such as JIRA, Confluence/Wiki, or Jama - Strong systems thinking and understanding of technical dependencies
Day-to-Day Activities
- Daily stand-ups with delivery teams
- Backlog grooming, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives
- Translating business requirements into technical requirements and acceptance criteria
- Partnering with multiple teams to align priorities and timelines
