Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have experience in private school settings and a strong background in working with children with disabilities, including autism. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of all students, particularly those requiring special education services. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote literacy education and behavioral health.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using established behavior management techniques.
  • Create a supportive and nurturing environment for all students, ensuring their emotional and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with parents, staff, and external professionals to support child welfare initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants and other staff members within the classroom.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other relevant data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred; Child Development Associate is requred.
  • Experience working in private schools or daycare settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of special education practices and literacy education strategies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children with disabilities, including behavioral health challenges and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Excellent lesson planning skills with the ability to adapt materials for diverse learners.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
  • Certification in teaching or related credentials is preferred but not mandatory.
