Residential Psych Tech

The Residential Technician is responsible for the daily supervision of the treatment program's community and attends to the client's essential needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Experience in the substance abuse industry, and/or knowledge of chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of sobriety (if in recovery) Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help maintain a safe environment for both staff and clients by observing and documenting client behavior, conducting room searches and reporting any unsafe and/or inappropriate behaviors to appropriate staff.
• Monitor activities of each client both on and off the premises.
• Assist in daily functioning of the facility including but not limited to leading assigned activities and conversation groups, assisting in appropriate therapy groups and encouraging clients to participate in such activities/groups.
• Assist with the admissions process of new clients by guiding the clients through appropriate paperwork, searching clients' belongings for contraband and documenting belongings.
• Supervision of clients self-administering medication and record medications as indicated by policy and procedures.
• An ability to obtain vitals; such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Adhere to and apply regulations outlined in the Code of Conduct
• Crisis intervention as needed.
• Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Completes daily shift notes.
• Transport clients to outside meetings and activities.
• Assign and ensure completion of resident chores/responsibilities.
• Assist in daily upkeep and cleanliness of facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 /hour
