Our mission... The Enforcement Division is managed by the Enforcement Manager who leads and directs the agency enforcement program. The Enforcement Division is responsible for 4 sections: Field Investigation Services, Compliance, Collections and Dispute Resolution/Mediation sections.
The Field section provides real-time construction site visits to assess contractor credentials and investigate compliance through assigned activities. The Compliance section investigates allegations, helps contractors identify steps needed to compliance, and decides based on statute and rule if further sanctions and penalties are warranted. The Collection section is responsible for administrative suspensions and collection of civil penalties. The Dispute Resolution section accepts complaints from the public and other contractors and mediates those disputes before closing the complaint or explaining the pathway to bond recovery. Overall, the Enforcement Division is focused on serving and protecting the public by responding to inquiries, complaints and contracting violations.
This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Union (AFSCME).
The CCB is hiring for a Full-Time, permanent, Enforcement Support Specialist. The classification for this position is an Office Specialist 2.
Here's what you will do:
Enforcement Support Specialist:
In this role, you'll offer telephone, clerical, word processing, and team support for the Enforcement Division. These sections handle a substantial volume of documentation with strict timelines for notices of intent, final orders, cease and desist orders, and jurisdiction com-plaints. Precision, teamwork, and collaboration are essential for success in this position
General Office Support:
Collaborate with Manager weekly to identify any unique support measures needed for work units.
- Review accuracy of TEDS forms before Manager submission.
- Take accurate and detailed minutes at monthly meetings.
- Ensure supplies are ordered and distributed to at home staff when requested.
- Ensure supplies and paper are stocked in printers and mail area.
- Detailed and accurate quality control and daily import of agency records using agency software programs.
- Prepares unit reports assigned.
Mail Processing:
Open mail daily for sections within the Enforcement Division. Follow detailed directions for receiving, copying, and sorting mail notices as well complete preparations of correspondence with appropriate attachments to parties involved as required. Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for all work units within Enforcement.
- Accurately maintain and record mailing information using agency software programs.
- Accurately identify the type of document being sent and ensure mailing accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
OR
An associate degree in any field;
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions:
- This position is essential to CCB's business and operational needs. The CCB is a customer facing agency which requires the agency to have adequate coverage for both walk-in and call-in customers. As such the essential functions of this position do require the employee to work in the office from the central workplace based.
- This position is not suitable for remote work.
- Work is done in an office environment with moderate noise levels. The nature of the work may require long periods of sitting and exposure to conditions that may cause eyestrain.
- Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. (alternative work schedules are subject to approval by management).
