Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
• Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste
• Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction
• Ensure all food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety standards

Experience

• Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly valued
• Demonstrated kitchen experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
• Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and catering operations
• Proven knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
• Experience working in the food industry with an emphasis on quality service and presentation
• Knowledge of menu planning and food service operations enhances your ability to succeed in this role
