Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality orthodontic care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and an understanding of orthodontic practices. The Orthodontic Assistant will work closely with the orthodontist to support patient treatment plans and maintain a sterile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including the placement and removal of braces and other orthodontic appliances (INDEPENDENTLY).
  • Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and materials for patient care.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions.
  • Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of treatment plans and progress.
  • Conduct sterilization processes in compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed for treatment planning.
  • Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to ensure their comfort during visits.

Requirements

**MUST HAVE ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION**

  • Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar dental assisting role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control standards is essential.
  • Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
  • Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus.
  • Proficient in using dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
