Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care for individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and other memory-related conditions. As a Medication Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing essential support in their daily lives.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications to residents while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor and document residents' vital signs and overall health status.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and record keeping.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of medication storage areas.

Experience

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors, including hospice and memory care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (EMR/EHR) for patient care documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
