Assistant Controller

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with an international professional services company based in Europe to identify an Assistant Controller to join their Americas division.

Highlights Of The Assistant Controller Opportunity

• Our client is internationally recognized with offices across the United States as well as the rest of the world
• Headquarters for the company is in Europe but American operations are out of Boston
• Annual revenue for this division is $450M+
• This position will be in leadership of the finance and accounts payable departments for North America
• Hybrid work environment

Responsibilities Of The Assistant Controller

• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Manage five employees and oversee the AP department
• Ensure accounting compliance and update financial policies as needed
• Coordinate with the internal audit department for financial controls and risk management
• Assist with the year-end audit

Background Expected Of The Assistant Controller

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or experience equivalent (4 years)

• Secondary degree such as MS in Accounting or MBA/CPA certification is a plus

• 5+ years in finance and accounting with 2+ years in a management role

• Public/private mix preferred but experience with companies $200M+ required
