Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
  • Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other mechanical systems with precision and attention to detail.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire alignments, wheel balancing, and brake services to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and calibrate systems for safety compliance.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems effectively.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
  • Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair requirements for insurance claims or service orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards while managing multiple repair jobs simultaneously.

Experience

  • Proven dealership experience or extensive automotive repair background with a focus on vehicle diagnostics and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, and powertrain repairs including transmissions and diesel engines.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery.
  • Service technician experience demonstrating ability to handle complex automotive electrical systems and schematics effectively.
  • Knowledge of auto estimating processes along with excellent customer service skills to enhance client interactions.
  • Prior experience working with automotive service departments or in a dealership setting is preferred but not mandatory.
