Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Omega Products is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician who is responsible for conducting quality control tests on a variety of cement-based and resin-based products for the construction industry. Some of the common tasks the technician will perform are: Collecting samples from production, preparing and performing standard operating procedures, and testing raw materials. Other duties may include supporting the Quality Control Supervisor with any requested assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare samples.
• Perform laboratory tests per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure the laboratory raw materials are well-stocked and in their proper location.
• Document test results.
• Perform daily tasks to aid in the cleanliness of the lab.
• Follow strict safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use technical equipment with accuracy.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Normal color perception (not color blind).
• Basic computer skills, including using Excel for data entry.
• Bilingual (English - Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Salary

• $21 - $22 per hour with benefits
