Moving specialist driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Moving Specialist Driver to join our team. You must have your own personal owned vehicle to travel to the location of the job. This role involves safely transporting goods, furniture, and equipment to various locations while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving commercial vehicles, moving, and load handling, with the ability to navigate routes efficiently and maintain professionalism throughout each delivery. Duties

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries
• Load and unload items using equipment and manual lifting techniques
• Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit
• Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with deliveries and addressing any concerns professionally
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and route logs
• Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving, and vehicle operation

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving expertise
• Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor
• Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
• Knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines
