Master Plumber

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Master Plumber to lead apartment maintenance and upgrade projects. In this vital role, you will be responsible for leading maintenance and upgrade projects decided by the Director of Property Management and Managing Partner. Your expertise will help create safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environments for residents. You will work independently and collaboratively with maintenance teams to deliver top-quality service while adhering to safety protocols and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex plumbing repairs, installations, and upgrades in apartment units and common areas, including pipe replacement, fixture installation, and leak detection.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing projects.
• Conduct construction estimating for repair projects, ensuring materials and labor are accurately accounted for within project scopes.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other mechanical devices to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist with remodeling, renovation, and maintenance projects involving carpentry, drywall work, HVAC systems, and general maintenance person duties.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate plumbing installations with other trades such as electrical or HVAC technicians.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Lift heavy materials safely during installation or repair tasks; perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates.

Skills

• Must have a Master's Plumber License.
• Extensive experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of pipe threading, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, remodeling processes, maintenance procedures, and general construction practices.
• Ability to estimate project costs accurately through construction estimating skills.
• Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing fixtures, pipe systems, valves, pumps, and schematics interpretation.
• Field service experience working on construction sites or residential properties with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Familiarity with carpentry tasks such as assembly or drywall installation as part of comprehensive upgrade projects.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or material quantities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities combined with excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and client interactions. Pay: $ $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
