About the Role:
The Advanced Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in extracting actionable insights from large and complex data sources. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, engineers, and product managers, to translate organizational goals into data-driven strategies. Your expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization will enable our company to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
Responsibilities:
- Data Exploration and Analysis:
Acquire, clean, and analyze complex datasets from a variety of sources using advanced statistical techniques. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic business decisions. - Model Development:
Build, evaluate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms. Continuously refine models based on new data and feedback from stakeholders. - Business Intelligence & Reporting:
Design and create dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to communicate findings clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. - Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business leaders, IT professionals, and product teams to understand requirements, deliver insights, and provide data-driven recommendations. - Process Improvement:
Evaluate existing data processes and recommend enhancements to improve data quality, accessibility, and analysis efficiency. - Data Governance:
Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. - Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of emerging trends in analytics, machine learning, and data visualization. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. Or Professional certification in data analytics, data science, or related areas (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate). - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data science roles. - Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Expert-level skills in statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Background in A/B testing, experiment design, and causal inference.
- Experience leveraging APIs and integrating external data sources.
- Exposure to natural language processing and text analytics.
