Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate mid-level provider, Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, infections and injuries. Prescribing medications and other treatments. Supporting the management of patients' overall care.

Qualifications

Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program with current licensure to practice in the state of employment.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations on patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and EKGs
  • Prescribe medications and other treatments
  • Develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on health promotion and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and quality care for patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols
  • Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficient in ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation and billing purposes.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using aseptic techniques
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $75,000.00 per year
