Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our facilities and maintenance operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the engineering team, managing complex industrial systems, and ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive leadership style, technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, and a passion for optimizing performance through innovative solutions. As Chief Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, uphold safety standards, and ensure that all equipment and facilities operate at peak efficiency to support our organizational goals.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team to execute routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across all facility systems.
  • Oversee the management of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage equipment—to ensure operational reliability.
  • Develop and implement maintenance management strategies utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and inventory control.
  • Manage facilities operations related to HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, industrial maintenance, and electrical infrastructure to maximize efficiency and safety.
  • Coordinate project management activities for upgrades or new installations, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Conduct troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to identify issues swiftly and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including electrical safety protocols for high voltage systems, while fostering a culture of safety awareness among staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on manufacturing processes to optimize equipment uptime and reduce downtime through effective maintenance planning.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, schematics updates, and system modifications to support audits and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience leading technical teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment with supervising responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems—including high voltage (HV) and low voltage—mechanical systems, HVAC technology, and industrial maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, troubleshooting tools like ohmmeters, and CMMS software.
  • Strong understanding of facilities management principles including HVAC systems, mechanical equipment operation, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting, documentation, and team coordination.
  • Supervising experience with a focus on leadership development within technical teams.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes coupled with mechanical knowledge for effective problem-solving in an industrial setting.
