Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of our products and processes. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and the ability to analyze data effectively. The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and supporting quality audits.

Duties

  • Ensure conformance to blueprint specifications with use of precision measurement tools.
  • Make responsible decisions from the inspection data on conformance and quality of the tools and their products through out the entire production process.
  • Active involvement in establishing inspection characteristics (from the blueprint) to be checked by production and quality (Development of inspection criteria).
  • Assist pressroom employees on how to interpret blueprints, how to use measurement tools and help employees solve quality problems.
  • Follow special job instructions as communicated by supervisor or lead person and as on job card.
  • Complete all inspection documentation for Wrico records and customer requirements.
  • Perform Gage R&R's
  • Prepare PPAP layouts
  • Participate in APQP/NPD
  • Assist in 8D processes
  • Assist with ISO improvements on processes and procedures
  • Develop inspection programs on CMM & Keyence
  • Utilize vision inspection systems to assess product specifications and identify defects.
  • Maintain quality systems in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Participate in QA/QC activities, including inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • Conduct quality audits to ensure adherence to established procedures and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
  • Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate results to management.

Experience

  • Working with precision measuring tools in a machine or metal stamping environment.
  • Micrometers, calipers, height gage, surface plate layout, Keyence IM-8020 and Mitutoyo CMM.
  • Proven experience in a quality assurance or quality control role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with data collection techniques and statistical analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and their application in manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting findings clearly.
