Project Manager Healthcare IT
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Healthcare IT Project Manager
with hands-on experience leading projects in environments similar to
healthcare
-including medical supply chain, pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, commercialization, and healthcare data systems. The ideal candidate will have strong project planning, cross-functional leadership, vendor coordination, and governance experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across healthcare IT initiatives (supply chain systems, data migrations, integrations, compliance programs, etc.).
  • Manage project scope, budget, timelines, risks, and resource allocation in alignment with healthcare PMO standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, QA, security, and external vendors.
  • Drive project execution using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies depending on business needs.
  • Coordinate with data, infrastructure, and application teams for environment readiness, deployment planning, and release management.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, weekly status updates, dashboards, RAID logs, and executive summaries.
  • Ensure projects comply with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA/UDI, SOX, GxP).
  • Support testing phases (SIT/UAT), validation cycles, and production go-live activities.
  • Present project updates to leadership committees and ensure alignment with healthcare governance models.
  • Drive issue resolution and escalations from initiation to closure.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8 12+ years of Project Management experience, preferably in healthcare IT or life sciences.
  • Experience working with Cardinal Health, McKesson, AmerisourceBergen, or similar medical supply chain organizations.
  • Strong familiarity with:

  • Healthcare data systems

  • Supply chain and inventory workflows
  • Data migration & integration projects
  • Regulatory and compliance initiatives

  • Strong understanding of cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure) and data platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • PMP, CSM or SAFe certification preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Projects involving Healthcare applications: SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Oracle, EDI feeds, Pharmacy operations, Order Management, Regulatory systems.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and implementation partners.
  • Experience with change management within large enterprise healthcare programs.
