Duties

• Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers equipped with refrigerated trailers to transport perishable freight across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods to maintain quality and freshness
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, focusing on refrigeration units, brakes, tires, and overall vehicle condition
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and freight details in compliance with federal regulations
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws diligently to ensure safe delivery and protect yourself and others on the road
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transit
• Assist with loading or securing freight when necessary using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience driving tractor-trailers, especially with refrigerated trailers (reefer experience preferred)
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
• Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling standards
• Experience with truck driving safety protocols and federal transportation regulations (FMCSA standards)
• Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence
