Position Summary
Join our team as a
3rd shift
Quality Assurance Technician
and play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of our raw materials, packaging, and finished products. You'll work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, and Technical Services to uphold our commitment to excellence. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and offers opportunities for growth and development.

Location:
Bethlehem, PA

Shift: 3rd (Approx: 10:00 pm - 6:30 am)

How You'll Impact Results

  • Ensure Quality & Compliance: Audit daily production processes, verify equipment like check weighers and metal detectors, and maintain regulatory standards.
  • Data & Analysis: Collect, record, and analyze data to support continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Product Testing & Validation: Conduct ingredient validation versus Certificates of Analysis and support testing for product and packaging changes.
  • Collaboration & Training: Work alongside production teams, assist with training, and contribute to troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Innovation & Development: Gain hands-on experience in confectionery technology, quality assurance processes, and operational excellence.

Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success

  • Education & Experience:
  • B.S. in Food Science, Biology, Micro-Biology or related field preferred, OR
  • Minimum High School diploma with 2+ years of experience in a technical role in Food or FDA regulated manufacturing environment (Quality and/or Lab experience a plus).
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, GFSI (SQF, BRC, ISO, etc.), and sanitation standards is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of analytical laboratory testing procedures is preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of lab and manufacturing equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move safely within office and plant environments.
  • Clear communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and occasional weekends as needed.
