About the Role:

Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineering Technician who is responsible for supporting our engineering team in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring product quality. This role requires a strong background in industrial engineering and hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

What you will do regularly:

  • Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes for bus production to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with engineers to develop, implement, and test new production systems and procedures.
  • Perform time studies, workflow analysis, and process mapping to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the development and maintenance of standardized work procedures and documentation.
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the design and layout of factory floor space to optimize workflows and reduce downtime.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to production performance, quality control, and process improvements.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are met in all engineering processes.
  • Analyze and optimize production line workflows to balance workstations, reduce bottlenecks, and improve overall line efficiency

Minimum Requirements:

  • All applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive or transportation industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. We will consider equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of education.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools for layout design and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations within an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
