Desktop Support Technician / End-User Computing Specialist

Onsite, Downtown Dallas, TX

6 month contract with CDW

CDW is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Technician who can hit the ground running and work independently with minimal supervision. This role will support laptop refresh initiatives, new user onboarding, and day-to-day end-user support, requiring strong technical skills and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute large-scale
  laptop refresh and replacement projects
  , including imaging, configuration, and deployment
• Onboard new users
  , prepare and image new systems, and ensure successful first-day readiness
• Provide hands-on
  desktop and Windows 11 support
  for end users
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner
• Use
  SCCM
  to image, deploy, and manage devices
• Manage and support users and devices in
  Active Directory (ADUC)
• Deliver clear, professional communication while supporting users at all technical levels
• Document work and follow established IT processes and standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience supporting
  laptop refresh initiatives
  and device deployments
• Strong
  customer service and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with:
• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft SCCM
• Active Directory (ADUC)
• Windows 11
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with
  ControlUp
• Prior enterprise or corporate IT support experience

Qualifications

• Previous experience in desktop support, end-user computing, or IT support roles
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and user-focused approach
