Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year

Schedule: Full-time | Onsite

We are hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a busy, operationally driven organization. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable and will also support process improvements, cost controls, and efficiency initiatives. The right person is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

• Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
• Assist with audits and reporting requests
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
• Partner with purchasing, operations, and finance teams on AP-related projects

• 3–5 years of accounts payable experience
• Experience in a fast-paced or operations-focused environment
• Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems
• Solid Excel skills
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

• Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar

• Stable, hands-on accounting role
