Production Lead

Green Fox Companies is seeking a Production Lead for our fiber line. The Production Lead will be responsible for assisting the Production Manager with the daily production activities on the fiber line. This key position within the production team will ensure production goals are met while maintaining a safe, clean and organized work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Motivating, supporting and providing guidance to production staff on the fiber line
• Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to maintain a safe work environment
• Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
• All aspects related to the execution of the manufacturing schedule including coordinating material, communication with other departments, ensuring maintenance and housekeeping issues are addressed
• Monitor and report employee issues to production manager
• Perform quality checks
• Operating necessary production equipment – spends time on production tasks
• Troubleshoot production issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation
• Responsible for training incoming new hires in proper procedures for operating machinery on the fiber line
• Functions as the "Go-To" person for the fiber line, acting as the liaison with and providing feedback to the Production Manager
• Assists supervisor/manager with identifying areas of improvement, and take corrective action as needed
• Maintain a neat and clean work area and report any unsafe conditions
• Works in conjunction with the Production Manager to efficiently prioritize team efforts and to ensure that quality and shipments are met
• Assist Production Manager that production goals and objectives are met
• Ensuring lines ae clear of all components (properly bundled and packaged) at end of each production run.
• Assisting in inventory control
• Assigning proper jobs and instructions to the staff on the fiber line
• Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• 2+ years of experience in a production manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of production processes and equipment
• Attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Teamwork and leadership with the ability to coach and motivate employees
• Problem solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Time management
