Our San Diego, California facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize our operational infrastructure. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment, ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to equipment malfunctions, and contribute to a safe and productive working environment. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to safety. We emphasize the importance of using appropriate PPE and following all safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. This is a great chance to utilize your technical expertise within the dynamic logistics sector. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency in logistics.
- Ability to assist with physical tasks, including Lifting up to 70 lbs. when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
