*Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine – West Orange, NJ*
*Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine* is a growing, multi-specialty Orthopedic, Spine, and Sports Medicine practice with locations in Westfield, West Orange, Middletown, Ridgewood, and Morristown, NJ. We are currently seeking a *motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist* to join our team at our *West Orange, NJ* location.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, physician-led practice focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Both *full-time and part-time* positions are available.
Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist who will partner with patients throughout their rehabilitation journey—restoring movement, improving function, and maximizing quality of life. The ideal candidate is passionate about orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation and thrives in a team-based clinical environment.
*Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; candidates with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy will also be considered (DPT salary differs from Master's).*
Responsibilities
* Treat patients in accordance with physician orders using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address strength, mobility, and functional impairments
* Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician recommendations
* Create and implement short- and long-term treatment goals, including frequency, duration, and appropriate treatment modalities
* Document patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
* Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust care plans as needed, communicating progress to physicians and care team members
* Motivate and educate patients throughout treatment to promote optimal outcomes
* Develop and instruct patients on home exercise programs upon discharge to support continued recovery
* Promote healthy lifestyles by improving strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and overall function
* Maintain treatment areas and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized manner
* Adjust schedules to accommodate patient needs
* Ability to provide coverage at multiple practice locations if needed
Qualifications
* Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s degree in Physical Therapy accepted
* New graduates welcome; *2 years of orthopedic physical therapy experience preferred*
* Active New Jersey Physical Therapy license in good standing
* Experience in an orthopedic or sports medicine setting preferred
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
