About the role As an Business Analyst (Associate), you will provide a business analysis service primarily to technology projects and change initiatives. You will assist colleagues and other stakeholders to investigate operational issues, problems and new opportunities, contributing to business process and IT system improvements. You may support a senior business analyst or product owner with larger scale requests or deliver end to end analysis for small scale changes to existing services.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Support end users by reviewing, documenting and assessing requests for change.
Gather, validate and document system and process information.
Support the analysis of current "as-is" business services and processes.
Take part in meetings with stakeholders and assist in presenting issues and gathering requirements.
Produce business analysis deliverables using relevant documentation styles in line with organisational standards and using appropriate tools.
Document detailed to-be process models and requirements in line with agreed project deliverables and communicate these to the wider team.
Ensure engagement with customers and stakeholders is positive and delivers the right solution.
Assist in defining holistic solutions that address organisational, people, process, information and technology aspects.
Work closely with the product team to support design, delivery and testing phases of the project.
Assist colleagues to define and undertake user acceptance testing for new or improved business processes and IT systems.
Develop business analysis skills and expertise and attend relevant events related to business analysis to develop knowledge and proactively maintain networks with other professionals in the area.
About you You have previously worked on projects delivering change, ideally within Agile environments, and understand the business analysis service. With your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you've facilitated workshops and conducted stakeholder interviews to extract relevant information and are able to prioritise and manage your time effectively. You can clearly define and articulate business process concepts to end users and colleagues across the business and process excellent presentation skills. Additionally, you can work effectively in a collaborative team environment sharing knowledge and can take ownership of problems solving them with your analytic skills and logical thinking.
You have experience of applying various techniques and delivering analysis outputs including:
Requirements elicitation and documentation
Business process mapping & User Stories
Data and system analysis and documentation
