Job Summary Melrose Industries plc is a British aerospace manufacturing company based in Birmingham, England. It is the parent company of GKN Aerospace, a British multinational aerospace engineering and technology business with 16,000 global employees across 12 countries worldwide.
Working as a Finance Systems Administrator this role will perform regular maintenance and administration tasks related to the OneStream consolidation system. First line support for internal users resolving issues or escalating either to Group Finance or external OneStream consultancy. Support finance system development and analysis requests, again coordinating with external OneStream consultants as needed.
This is a central function opportunity in which you will work as part of Melrose plc, supporting our 3 GKN Aerospace business lines; Civil, Engines, and Defence.
This will see you collaborating with international colleagues, with support from an external support function allowing you to grow your knowledge on the OneStream system.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support data loads and integrations.
Provide first-line support to internal users across regions.
Manage user access and security roles.
Assist with data uploads and validations. Maintain metadata and workflow structures.
Support reporting activities (Cube Views, Quick Views, dashboards).
Participate in testing and change management (e.g., UAT, patch testing).
Document processes and create user guides.
Track and log system issues and resolutions.
Collaborate with finance, IT, and external consultants.
What You’ll Bring Essential:
Proficiency in Office 365 including strong Excel skills.
Awareness of financial close and reporting cycles.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Basic familiarity with financial systems and willingness to learn.
Clear and professional communications style.
Proactive attitude.
Desirable
Exposure to OneStream.
Prior experience in a finance or accounting role.
Understanding of consolidation, intercompany eliminations, or financial KPI’s.
Experience in training end users.
Travel requirements - potential for limited travel globally.
