We are seeking motivated and reliable Order Pickers to join our dynamic logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and correct shipments. You will work closely with inventory management systems and fellow warehouse associates to maintain a smooth workflow. Attention to detail is paramount in this position to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse, identifying specific items based on order tickets, and transporting them to the packing or shipping stations. This requires excellent spatial awareness and the ability to work quickly under pressure. You will also be expected to assist with cycle counts and inventory verification as needed. Compliance with all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and handling of materials, is mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and possess the physical stamina for the demands of the role. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product information and quantities against orders.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or shipping areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Meet daily picking quotas and performance standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, as needed.
