Our Raleigh, North Carolina distribution center is looking for a robust Material Handler to support our extensive logistics network. This position is essential for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is handled correctly from receiving to dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials onto and from trucks, pallets, and other conveyances.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Sort, stack, and store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory management.
- Operate various types of material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Assist in other warehouse operations as needed to support logistics flow.
- Follow all standard operating procedures for material handling and warehouse Safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed.
