Job Summary:
Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location is seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to manage the incoming flow of goods. This critical role ensures that all products entering our warehouse are accounted for, inspected, and processed correctly. You will be the first point of contact for incoming inventory, playing a vital part in maintaining accurate stock levels and supporting our overall logistics operations. A strong focus on Safety and accuracy is key.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
  • Inspect all received goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Stage received items for put-away and distribution to appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments promptly.
  • Adhere to all warehouse Safety procedures and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure receiving area.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks as needed, such as cycle counts.
  • Support overall warehouse logistics by ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming stock.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using WMS and other relevant software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
  • Ability to operate forklifts (certification is a strong plus).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
