Join our dynamic team as a Receiving Clerk in sunny Orlando, Florida! We are looking for a meticulous and dependable individual to manage our incoming logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all inbound shipments. Your key responsibilities will include unloading trucks, meticulously verifying goods against purchase orders and packing slips, conducting thorough inspections for any damages, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory management system. Success in this position relies on a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and an unwavering commitment to accuracy. You will play a pivotal part in maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring a smooth flow of goods into our facility. This role involves physical tasks, including moderate Lifting and the operation of warehouse equipment. A commitment to a safe working environment is essential; all employees must adhere to safety regulations and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Receive and unload incoming freight in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify quantities and item numbers against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect all received products for damage, defects, or shortages.
- Accurately input receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Segregate and stage incoming goods for put-away or other processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as trained and certified.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, such as cycle counting, as needed.
