We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Austin, Texas. This role is pivotal to our logistics operations, requiring proficiency in operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient handling of materials, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods through our facility. Safety and precision are paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers and rail cars.
- Stack and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE.
- Follow all operational procedures and logistics protocols.
A valid forklift operator certification is required. Previous experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment is essential. Must be comfortable with physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of items up to 60 pounds. A strong knowledge of Safety regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse environments is mandatory. Good communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
