We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, products, and equipment throughout the warehouse. This role is essential for our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are transported correctly to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines. You must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, stacking pallets, and assisting with inventory management. A thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures is required, and you will be expected to conduct daily pre-operational checks on your forklift and maintain a clean work environment. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE is non-negotiable. This position involves operating heavy machinery and requires attention to detail and spatial awareness. Occasional lifting of items up to 60 lbs may be required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Handle tasks requiring occasional lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Support overall logistics and material handling operations.
