Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Des Moines, Iowa facility. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This includes performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to optimize stock levels. You will work closely with various departments to ensure smooth logistics operations and minimize errors. A thorough understanding of inventory management principles and systems is required. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating potential inventory risks.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Familiarity with Lifting requirements and safety protocols.
