We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our robust logistics operations in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, stocking inventory, and preparing materials for shipment. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods within our facility and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse logistics, has experience with various types of material handling equipment, and prioritizes safety above all else. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from storage areas.
- Stock and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Prepare materials for shipping.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Perform frequent Lifting of heavy materials up to 75 lbs.
- Support overall logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting and physical tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills.
