We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. This role is essential for optimizing warehouse operations, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring product availability. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining the integrity of our inventory management system. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles is crucial. You will work closely with the receiving, shipping, and operations teams to reconcile stock levels and identify areas for improvement. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a methodical approach, and a commitment to accuracy. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce losses.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with operations, receiving, and shipping teams.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with occasional Lifting of inventory items.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a warehouse setting.
