We are seeking energetic Order Pickers to join our dynamic fulfillment center team in Jacksonville, Florida. As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently gather items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that our products are dispatched promptly and correctly. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where precision and speed are valued. Our company is deeply committed to workplace safety, and all team members are required to rigorously follow safety protocols and utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands physical stamina, involving continuous standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve specified products from warehouse racking and shelves.
- Utilize handheld scanners to confirm picks and update inventory in real-time.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities against order details.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing stations or staging areas.
- Inspect items for damage and report any issues to supervisory staff.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and wear mandated PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock verification as directed.
- Meet established targets for order picking accuracy and speed.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team objectives in our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in order picking, warehouse work, or a similar logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills for accurate counting.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift.
- Capability to perform lifting tasks, including items up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Willingness to work effectively in a team setting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and commitment to using PPE.
- Reliability and punctuality are a must.
