We are looking for a meticulous and energetic Order Picker to join our warehouse team in St. Louis, Missouri. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Use handheld scanners to confirm picked items and update inventory records.
- Transport picked items to packing or staging areas using appropriate equipment.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to minimize errors.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring aisles are clear and products are stored correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks as needed to access and move inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking quotas and ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock put-away as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets and order specifications.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
