We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our thriving logistics operations in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your keen eye for detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy are essential. You will utilize order sheets or electronic devices to locate and retrieve items, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are selected. Maintaining a safe working environment is a top priority, and all team members are expected to follow strict safety protocols and wear the necessary PPE. This position is crucial for the timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers, making your role vital to our supply chain. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages encountered during picking.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets.
- Team player with good time management skills.
- Awareness of warehouse safety practices.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining PPE.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
