We are seeking a motivated Shipping Clerk to join our growing warehouse team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our logistics department, focusing on the accurate and timely dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for preparing shipments, managing documentation, and coordinating with our shipping partners. This position requires a high level of accuracy and excellent organizational skills to ensure our customers receive their orders without delay or error.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare all required shipping documents, labels, and packing lists.
- Double-check outgoing orders against packing slips to ensure correctness.
- Arrange for carrier pickups and maintain communication regarding shipment status.
- Inspect shipments for any potential damage prior to dispatch.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to outgoing shipments.
- Maintain an organized system for all shipping records and documentation.
- Provide assistance with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and use appropriate PPE.
- Utilize warehouse equipment and office technology effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a shipping, logistics, or administrative support role preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Office and shipping software.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and time management skills.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of various shipping methods and carrier requirements.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
