Job Summary:
Join our Columbus, Ohio team as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage the reception and processing of all incoming materials. This critical role ensures the accuracy of our inventory and supports the seamless flow of goods through our logistics network. You will be the first point of contact for many shipments, verifying contents, inspecting for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. A strong focus on safety and efficient warehouse practices is a must. The role involves regular lifting and requires adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload deliveries from various carriers.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Inspect all received goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Accurately enter receiving data into the company's inventory management system.
  • Label and stage incoming inventory for appropriate distribution or storage.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
  • Collaborate with vendors, drivers, and internal departments to resolve any receiving issues.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and other inventory management activities.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse receiving or inventory control position.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and scanning technology.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
